Seizure of Offensive Weapon & Arrest of Male

Officers from the Piccadilly Gardens team have this afternoon arrested a male who was seen by members of the public to be waving a metal pole in public. Officers were on hand quickly to apprehend the male who has been subsequently arrested and transported to custody where he will be held awaiting questioning. 

Once the offender has been questioned officers will be making representations to impose strict bail conditions preventing the offender re entering the city to repeat his pattern of offending, Officers will also be working with partners from the MCC anti-social behaviour action team to see if the male is eligible for a criminal behaviour order.
